THE FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 (KJV)
The Holy Spirit is the one that convicts the sinner of his sin. At the point of hearing the Word of Yahweh, the Holy Spirit starting working on your heart to convict you bringing about believe in the Word. As you believe in the Word, the Holy Spirit comes into your spirit and recreates you. You become a new creation by the power of the Holy Spirit by the Gospel of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach. So, Salvation is your first encounter with the Holy Spirit. At Salvation you encounter with the Spirit within. The Holy Spirit comes into your spirit-man and makes His home. At new birth, you become a new creation in HaMashiach. II Corinthians 1:21-22 says, ‘ 21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God? 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.’ At new birth, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit and He became the guarantee or down payment or pledge for the completion of the transaction of eternal life. So, if you are born again, you already have the Holy Spirit within you. He has come and taken up residence in your spirit-man. With the Holy Spirit in you, the Father is saying that “I have marked you for eternal life and I have proved it by giving you of my Spirit”
This also means that you have the complete fruits of the Spirit in you. Galatians 5:22-23 says, ‘ 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.’ John 15:5 says, ‘I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” The fruits grow in the branches. So, we understand that the fruits of the Spirit grows in the branch which is you. The Lord Yahushua is the vine and you are the branch. The fruits of the Spirit is not the fruits that the Holy Spirit exhibits. It is the fruits that your human spirit exhibits as a result of it abiding in the vine. It is the manifestations of these fruits of the Spirit in your recreated human spirit that makes you a real believer and someone that is becoming like HaMashiach.
It is this stage of the encounter with the Holy Spirit that you need to make it to heaven. This is the salvation stage and when the Holy Spirit convicts your heart and you believe in the Lord Yahushua, you are saved and heaven-bound. The Spirit within is what develops your character. Your character is who you are when no one is watching you. Your character is what shows if you are developing spiritually or not. Your character is what shows if you have the fear of the Lord or not. Yielding to the Holy Spirit within develops the fruit. Selah!
REMEMBER: New birth is your first encounter with the person of the Holy Spirit.
CONFESSION: I am being built up by the Holy Spirit through the Word. He is shaping my character by helping me develop the fruit of the recreated human spirit. I am a wonder truly.
PROPHETIC RELEASE: I see a revolution in your life by this first encounter with the Holy Spirit in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
