HOW TO OPERATE IN THE SUPERNATURAL LIFE (6): THE ROD OF THE WORD
And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
Exodus 4:17 (KJV)
The rod is the Word. Proverbs 22:15 says, ‘Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.’ II Timothy 3:16 says, ‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:’ This rod is the inspired Word which brings correction, reproof, doctrine and instruction in righteousness. As you are instructed in the Word, it begins to lead you into triumphant procession in HaMashiach (see II Corinthians 2:14). So, the Word brings you instructions first, then correction to help you align. When you are aligned, it becomes the sickle of harvest of miracles, signs and wonders. If you desire to walk in the supernatural, you must be a person of the Word. You are barren of signs without the Word. Like every weapon, you need training on how to use it. Being in the Word, trains you to use the Word to work signs. There is a gift of the Holy Spirit called “the working of miracles” (see I Corinthians 12:10). Miracles are worked with the Word. It is scriptural calculus that results in signs and wonders. In mathematics, there is a branch that is concerned with limits and differentiation and integration of functions, it is called calculus. It requires some expertise of the elementary mathematics, then some mastery of the secondary mathematics where you deal with algebra and so, before you come into the dimension of calculus.
Beloved, that is exactly how the supernatural works. You require training in the Word to grow from one level of the supernatural to another. There is a level where you can only deal with headaches, there is another level where you can handle terminal cases like cancer and others. There is also another level where you can see creative miracles like amputated hands and feet growing out before your eyes. The difference in these dimensions in the supernatural is the rod of the Word and knowing how to use it effectively. It is proficiency in the use of the rod of the Word that determines your the level of operation in the supernatural. Whatever takes you away from the Word is killing your position in the supernatural. “You shall take this rod in your hand” is the instruction of our Father. If you desire to do signs and have it the way you want it, then, you must take this rod in your hand. It must be handy to you. That is you must come to that point where you don’t need to open your Bible to release the Word. It is handy always.
Program your life on the Word. Let the Word dwell richly in you, not sparingly (see Colossians 3:16). It takes rich intake to have the Word dwell in you richly. But the assurance is that the Word does not fail, cannot fall to the ground (see Matthew 5:18). Go ahead and engage it today. Shalom!
REMEMBER: The Bible revealed to you is your rod to do signs both in your life and in the harvest field.
CONFESSION: I can never be sick. I can never be broke. I am in charge in my territory. I am reigning and ruling by the rod of the Word. Praise the Lord!
