THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (7): STANDBY
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
John 14:26(AMPC)
A Standby is one to be relied on especially in emergencies; a favourite or reliable choice or resource. A Standby is one that is held in reserve ready for use; a reliable substitute, ready or available for immediate action or use. The Holy Spirit is my Standby meaning He is the one I relied on in emergencies. He is my 911 on earth. The Holy Spirit my Standby means that He is a ready reserve, reliable and available for any eventuality.
Let’s take the first one. The Holy Spirit is the one I rely on in emergencies. In life, there may be times of emergencies. Maybe an attack out of spiritual carelessness, may be launched against a member of your family and you find yourself in an emergency. Just laugh in such case and switch over to tongues inviting the Standby who is ever ready to meet headlong with any emergency in and around you. He is most trained to deal with emergencies; to turnaround the situation in an instant to the glory of the Lord Yahushua. In the days of Yahushua, suddenly the adversary attacked the widow’s only son and took him. In bitterness and agony, the procession of burial was happening when the Master was stepping into that city at that moment by the direction of the Holy Spirit. Luke 7:11-16 (NET) has the report, ‘Soon afterward Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went with him. As he approached the town gate, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother (who was a widow), and a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then he came up and touched the bier, and those who carried it stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” So the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. This is exactly the interventions of our able Standby the Precious Holy Spirit. Don’t ever allow the liar devil to prevail in any attack against you. You are ordained to win in all matters of life. The Standby is the one we rely on in emergencies. In the US, the emergency service is called the 911. Our Kingdom 911 is the Precious Holy Spirit.
Lastly, The Holy Spirit my Standby is my ready, reliable and available reserve. A Reserve is something set aside in hold, kept back and available for future use or need. With a reserve you cannot get stranded. You cannot be ashamed in the face of unforeseen circumstances. The reserve comes in handy to tackle the obstacle. We have a supernatural reserve in the Holy Ghost. Halleluyah! This is something to shout about! This means you cannot ever come to a crossroad in your life and be frustrated for lack of help or intervention. If it is a situation that will result in mockery, the Reserve is handy to bail you out. Friend, you are the most blessed being on earth to have the Blessed Holy Spirit leaving in you. What a wonder you have become amongst people. You have this awesome personality living in you.
REMEMBER: The Holy Spirit is your Standby to be relied on in emergencies, a ready, reliable, and available reserve.
PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for Your word to me today. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I receive the ministry of my Standby today and handover my situations and circumstances into His hands. I am completely safe in Him. I love You Lord in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
PROPHETIC RELEASE: I decree that this weekend shall be celebrations in the Holy Ghost for you and your household. Every issue of mourning ends forever in your life. The things that make for joy, peace and celebration becomes the testimony of your life and household from this weekend and forever in the name of the Lord Yahushua HaMashiach Amen!
